about
“love/them is a song of acceptance and frustration. It’s largely inspired by my mum who came out as lesbian when I was 15. While she was visibly nervous, I remember how much of a non-event it was for myself and my siblings; it made no difference to us, she was still our mum. But that made it all the more infuriating when the parents of my LGBTQ+ friends failed to do the same for their children. ‘love/them’ is an explosion of rage towards those parents, but also a welcoming embrace to all of our fans irrelevant of their sexuality or gender identity.
My mum’s also an artist and kindly allowed us to use one of her wonderful pieces for the song’s artwork. We felt it beautifully represented the heartbreak of the LGBTQ+ community.”

lyrics
It reads love thy neighbour,
I guess it's easier to pick and choose,
A verse for every occasion,
Except for you.
Bless your son and his caring nature,
I see his smile, you see a traitor,
Two boys laughing as their hands hold,
Learn to love or forget your saviour.
Victim complex December,
I spoke to Santa you're getting coal,
They're flesh and blood don't you remember,
Instead vitriol.
Bless your daughter and their caring nature,
I see her smile you see a traitor,
Two girls laughing as their hands hold,
Learn to love or forget your saviour.
Do you expect to see perfection born from misery?
Bless your child and their caring nature,
I see their smile you see a traitor,
Thriving outside your gender roles,
Learn to love or forget your saviour.
The surprisingly comical new video from roaring metal group Red Fang is a tip of the hat to the original “Predator.” Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 12, 2016
